Yeah, but Ironcommando can do period pastiche better than any of us and make us look stupid. It's his thing. Period pastiche, I mean, not making us look stupid. I can do that for myself. Making myself look stupid, I mean, not period pastiche.
See?

Hey Thanks IMP, I think-
Look, i'm not even entering the challenge-
as a contestant-
i just wanna see sum knew stuff.
I'd like to see futuristic takes on old and period characters
rather than retro pastiche anyway.
I havent done any Red Wolf pics yet, He just came to mind as a character that might be fun to do different interpretations of---
mainly because nobody else has- due to his obscurity.
Anyoo- for all the stupids out there, unite!
we shall overcome! |

I don't know a lot about "Iron Age Comic Books" or whatever it is, but pulp- or pulp-style supervillians would be good: do they have to be actual classic pulp/noir characters?
How about Pulp Cover Art? (for comics or story mags.) |

So is that two votes for "Iron Age Comic Books", and does that mean Conan again? |

OK --- How about a tribute to Edgar Rice Buroughs-
Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, Carson of Venus ect.
or a Robert E' Howard tribute
Conan, Kane, King KULL,{ i think}, ect.
anyway ,just an idea on variety and exotic imagery. |

When we get to Bronze Age books, do we have to go look at cave paintings? _________________ Never smile too big, the gods mistake it for hubris. |

Conan sounds good to me, although Lord knows where I'm going to find a muscly barbarian to photograph at this time of night - how busy are you Hasdrubal?
Nice signature digitalmagi - does smirking count? _________________ A broken stereotype is a beautiful thing |

Also Dr Who annuals - I've got one so old it's got William Hartnell on the cover! _________________ A broken stereotype is a beautiful thing |

Dunno, but imagine the fun you could have trying to find one.

you will be amazed at how easily a muscled type at a gym will say yes to a reference photo so long as they get a copy. _________________ Never smile too big, the gods mistake it for hubris. |

| Vanity of vanities, all our vanity. Aren't there enough muscle-bound body morphs already? Pulp supervillians, already! |

Pulp super villans like?
How about some names?
That is the trouble with having a general catagory, doesnt really work if it is too broad. Narrow the field some and it is easier to compare the various works. |
