The following screenshots were sent to me by Christian.
just a note for others who are beta testing this file for Rat as well - make sure to post your testing files (not your artwork renders) for any problems you encounter here.
If you do not know how to post an image within the forums:

1) Upload the image to your personal website (Or a free one if you dont have you own website). You can also post into the special gallery designed just for that reason here.

2) Copy the URL of the image (ie. http://www.sitename.com/image.jpb)

3) Come here and start a thread continuation

4) Use the IMG tags to post an image. This is done by

• Use [ to open the tag
• type img
• then close the tag with ]
• Paste the URL for the image right after the open tag
• Then close the tag. Start with the [
• next use a /
• Type in img
• and close the tag with another ]

When you have clicked submit, your post will show the actual image, not the link.

===========================================

As per Christian's comments earlier tonight, he stated that when using some poses where the hand is in a complete fist, he sees blades protruding from the armor's hands.

Here are screen shots of this

I personally have done some closed fist work and didn't see this in the version I currently have.

Christian: Did you re-download the latest version? Try downloading it again, and re-installing it and see if it still happens.

Firtst of all I would like to say that your mesh is just fantastic.

I try it yesterday and I found it almost perfect. But teta testers have to do their job ....

Addition stuff/feature :
2 addition that would be great in my point of vue :

- Zero pose : you have a lot of morph - yesterday i began to play a little bit with it and when I wanted to go back to the original figure arrgh ! I have to delete it and reload it. The second thing i do was to create a zero pose - no pose - no morph. Adding it would simplify the process for Newbies.

- Opening mask : I don't know if it is possible to do it with the mesh - maybe as an prop ?

Problems :

There is little problems with your hip mesh : odd deformation and collision with the leg.

There is also some seam line that seems to be visible in the preview window. I don't know if it is still visible after render. i will test it tonight

Concerning the hand I don't see blades in closed hand but there is polygon on thumb 1 which point out when you close the hand.

I hope that this could help you.

Well, seems I didn't make myself 100% clear about linking the images from the forums gallery here. Thats cool, I should have been more specific.

You cannot just use the URL of the actual page. The URL listed is for an entire web page, and not just linked for the image.
You MUST use a URL that ends with your image location.

I wont be able t tell you how to do it on a Windows-based machine (I wouldnt touch those if they were the last computer on earth), but pretty much click on the image itself, find a menu item that shows copy URL, copy address, location ect. Copy and paste that URL into the browser window to make sure it works. You will know you did it right if ONLY the images appears in your browser window and nothing else.

Always make sure it ends with the IMAGE itself (ie. imagetitle.jog)

In Windows it's pretty simple. Right click on the image and select properties.

(One thing we can still lord over you Mac guys is the mighty right click. ;-) Of course you can always come back at us with a stable Unix based OS that has been upgraded about 20 times in the same time M$ took to vomit the stillbirth that is Vista out of bureaucratic womb.)

As for Alf's concerns...

I need to know what poses are causing that, and where they are from. You might have to try adjusting the buttock till it goes away.

There going to be some poses that just don't work. Amazing Armor is HALF the resolution of Reduced Res Mike 3, and has parts that just don't exist on any figure. It's like using a James pose on Mike 3. It's always going to need tweaking.

I'm working on a library of poses specifically for Amazing Armor, but the bulk of them might have to be an add on pack.

I've noticed a lot of available poses break human laws of movement. For instance... a human forearm should NEVER be capable of "Side to Side" motion.

Try it on yourself. Don't fool yourself by twisting you bicep or forearm. I have pretty high threshold
for pain and I can't do it even with apparatuses holding the arm. (Yes... I DO dumb like that stuff to myself to test what's is humanly possible.)

Same with your knees. If there is any "side to side" on the knee, you're either outside what's humanly possible... or like when I DID manage that, you have a severely painful dislocation. (I've done both knees at some point. :crying: )
In Poser, no one can hear Dork scream.

This one is just an artifact of his being low polygon again. It's armor. When I have all the morphs done, I'm planning on an up-rezed version that will be in the 50,000 poly neighborhood, and should be better for CU shot like that one.

Yeah. I'm getting old.
That "5-button" Apple mouse with no visible buttons leaves me hammering it like chimp waiting for an elevator, and swearing like an uncensored Popeye!

At least I can still hook my Ol' Logitech Trackman Wheel mouse, and all is good.

Thanks for posting those images for me Aremis. And thanks for posting instructions too. Much appreciated. ;)

Mmmmk. I did download the update then I did what you suggested Aremis. I re-downloaded it, then opened D/S, loaded the updated Armor, posed him, still get the hand blade. At first I thought it might be the reflection map I was using (hey, stranger things have happened). So, I stuck with Ratteler's default reflection map he provided. Nope. Wasn't it. Still got the hand blade.

Believe me, this is as confusing to me as it is to all of you. :(

And I know I'm not the only one having this problem. Starchild also experienced it. No clue if he has had any problems with the updated armor though and I don't know why I'm having probs when no one else is (with the exception of Starchild).

Maybe it's D/S, I don't know. I don't have Poser so I can't test it in it. Hmmm. If any of you have D/S, then my suggestion is this. See if you can run a test of the armor both in D/S and in Poser, doing the same Pose (with a closed fist) and see what happens. I suspect it could be something to do with D/S, not sure why. And if any of you have already, let me know will ya? Thanks. :)

I'll continue playing around, but I'm not sure I can locate the problem since I'm not a modeler.

Hmmm.... did you actually delete the old folder/files? I had a problem where I was making changes that weren't showing up. Cussed like a sailor for hours.

Then I figured out that had 2 runtimes installed that had the same OBJ in them. Poser/DS was looking at the first runtime, finding the first... OLDER OBJ, and loading it instead of the new one.

Also... from now on please include in all beta posts the following...

OS: Windows xxxx or OS X.x

Application: Poser (version), or Daz Studio (version)

Installation: Add Runtime or Copy Install?
Did you add the whole folder as a Runtime, or did you copy it into another runtime?

Pose: What pose gave you the problem, and what package did it come from?

Was it from a Downloaded Pose pack, from M3's install, or one of your own creation?

This is the really important stuff. If I can't make the problem happen, I have NO way to fix it.

Thanks pgtyner. I meant mostly when you post about a problem. The Amazing Armor version of TPS reports.

Yeeeeeahhh.... Soooo... You wanna get those stats on any error messages M'kay.

(Oh god... I just turned myself into Lumbergh from Office Space.)

Christian22179

Ok... I've replicated the problem in DS. (Now that I know that you're using DS.)

It looks like 1 point might not be part of the MID1 fingers group for some odd reason.

I'll see what I can do.

What makes it more difficult is that it doesn't seem to cause a problem in Poser.

Thanks Aremis! :)

Ratteler: Will do. And no, I didn't delete the old files. This is how I installed your Armor the first time. I had D/S do a search, it found the Armor and I placed it in my Poser directory (this was before the update).

Then the update. COOL! I re-downloaded the update, then I believe I placed the files in the same location as they were before I had D/S search for Poser files.

I didn't want to do that again, so I looked to see if I had the armor. I did. Ok, I loaded it, then was pretty happy to find it was the updated Armor. COOL! I didn't have to have D/S do another search!

That's how it happened. I have your updated Armor, the new morphs, the whole thing. I even tried importing the updated armor into D/S, posed him, same problem.

OS: WinXP.

Application: D/S 1.8

Installation: Had D/S do a search for Poser Files, then added it as this was the only way, other than Importing the Armor, I could get the armor to work in D/S.

Pose: M3 Fighting 01 (I think it's from his default pose package that comes with M3. If not, it's his Hero Pose Package on sale at Daz). Really, doesn't matter what pose I have him in, so long as it's one with a fist, boom, the blade thing happens.

Should I delete the files from D/S and the downloaded Files, re-download then try again?
